". . . the 2nd battalion, 112th infantry, under Lt. Colonel Hatzfeld, had attacked with a company of tanks from Germeter to clear the Vossenack Ridge. Assault guns from the Brandenberg-Bergstein Ridge knocked out several tanks, but the spinelike village of Vossenack was in hand by early afternoon.
